Sara wasn't a dancer growing up—she was a band nerd and an athlete. Four years ago, as a nurse in Bakersfield looking for something to help her mental health, she walked into her first pole class and everything changed. She fell in love with the movement, the community, and the way pole lets her tap into a flow she doesn't find anywhere else. That journey took her from Bakersfield to LA to San Diego to Sacramento, where she now teaches and continues to grow.

Private lessons with Sara are built around you—your body, your pace, your goals. As someone who also spent five years skydiving, she learned to love going outside her comfort zone, and she brings that same energy into every session. She'll push you just enough to surprise yourself, celebrate every small victory, and make you laugh along the way. There's no pressure to perform and absolutely no experience required.

Show up in comfortable clothes. Sara handles everything else. You'll warm up together, learn foundational moves at your pace, and before you know it—you'll be doing things you didn't think were possible an hour ago.

This is where it gets addictive. Session by session, you'll feel yourself getting stronger, more confident, more connected to your body. Progress photos, video check-ins, and Sara's guidance keep the momentum going. The pole is just the beginning.

Everything you're wondering

Shorts and a tank top or sports bra are perfect. Skin contact with the pole is actually important for grip, so avoid long pants and slippery fabrics. Don't worry about looking a certain way—wear what makes you feel comfortable and ready to move. Bare feet or grip socks work best (no shoes needed).
Not even a little. I was never a dancer—I grew up doing athletic sports and playing in band. Many of my students have never touched a pole before their first lesson, and that's the whole point. Everything is tailored to exactly where you are right now. No dance background, no fitness level, no flexibility required. Just a willingness to try something new and learn how to be proud of the discomfort.
Standard sessions are 60 minutes, which includes warm-up, instruction, and cool-down. Extended 90-minute sessions are available if you want to dive deeper into choreography or technique work. Sara will recommend the right format during your consultation.
Honestly? Probably a little—and I love that for you. Pole uses muscles you didn't know you had, especially in your arms, shoulders, and core. But it's the good kind of sore, the kind that reminds you that you did something amazing and went outside your comfort zone. Mild bruising on inner thighs and arms is also completely normal when you're learning. It goes away as your body adapts, and you'll start to wear those little marks like badges of honor.
It can be—if you want it to be. Part of my mission is empowering women and men to tap into their sensuality, love their bodies, and feel proud of who they are. Some students want athletic, acrobatic movement. Others want sensual, expressive flow. Many want a mix of both. I meet you where your comfort zone is and gently expand it. The sensuality that comes from pole is really just being in tune with your body, and there's nothing more beautiful than that.
Yes, absolutely. This is a community where everybody is welcome as long as they're respectful. Pole requires serious strength, control, and coordination—it's one of the most physically demanding disciplines there is. Men often find they love it because it challenges their body in completely new ways. I've trained people of all backgrounds, and part of what I do is create the most inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone to learn about themselves.
